The pros and cons of being a freelancer

Posted on: September 14th, 2013

I was sent this infographic the other day on the pros and cons of being a freelancer and thought it would be great to share. It focuses on the US market but I imagine the findings would be similar in other countries.

If the text is a bit small, click on the infogaphic to see it in full size.

Beautiful infographic but I question the data. 75% of those who work from home make $65,000? Sounds high to me.

    Thx,

    Hi Diana

That’s about £40,000 in UK money which doesn’t sound all that high to me. Guess it all depends on what your day rate is – and whether you are just starting out or have an established client base. I know people who charge £300 a day here in London and those who charge £750 or more.

(The people from whom I got the infographic have quoted their sources so seemingly they haven’t plucked a figure out of the air.)

Hope you are having a fun day.
